Stepper Motor Closed Loop Type

The Stepper Motor is a must-have device for all electronics professionals and amateurs! It is a closed-loop type of stepper motor! If you’re not familiar with it yet, a stepper motor is basically a DC motor. It moves in divided and discrete steps in order to make one full rotation. The stepper motor has many coils or phases that, when energized, rotate the motor one step at a time. This type of device is ideal for processes that require precise positioning. An example of this is 3D printers and X-Y plotters. It’s also great for low-speed control works.

Low Heat and High Efficiency

Some of the advantages of the stepper motor are its low heating and high efficiency. As compared to others, it also smoother and more accurate because of its space vector current control algorithm. This algorithm is based on vector smoothing and filtering technology as well as feedback encoder. All of these allow good resistance to low-frequency resonance. Also, this motor has a high-speed response with a servo speed of up to 600-2000 RPM.  It is suitable for machines such as woodworking, laser, engraving, and packaging machines. Its driver has a working current of AC 20 to 70V or DC 30 to 100V. The driver also has a pulse frequency of 200HHZ.

The motor’s rated speed is at 1000 RPM while the maximum speed possible is 2000 rpm. Also, its phase resistance is 0.65 while its phase inductance is 5.8. This driver has a step angle of 1.8. As for the motor’s nozzle, it has a diameter of 73 mm and a shaft length of 33 mm. This stepper motor is the closed-loop type which means it’s different from the servo type. Closed-loop stepper motors are two-phase and have about 50 to 100 poles.
